In this section, students will work with equations to find the slope of a line and determine equations of lines that are parallel and perpendicular.

Educreations is a tool for creating and watching presentations and lessons. This could be really useful for classroom use and students' personal use. I can use them in giving students notes, practice examples, and activities. Since there is an online storage capability the students would then have access to them at home. Students could also use them to create their own projects individually or in groups. It is a good tool since pictures or diagrams can be inserted, but it also provides for notes along the way that can help to clarify or answer student questions or allow students to interact in solving problems. I might also use this tool for students to review. I would assign a pair or small group of students to a topic and have them create an interactive presentation about it. Then each student in the class would have access to multiple types of review to use as a reteaching tool or for assessment preparation.

Edmodois an online social media tool used to help create classroom community. I think it is good for students because it is similar to things they are already used to using in their personal lives, like Facebook. It allows for discussion posts, events and photos from them or activities in the classroom, parent connections, posting assignments, and online quizzes. This allows for students to not only communicate with me as a teacher but with their classmates as well. A good project with this might involve students responding to a discussion board post about several different types of equations and being able to place equations of lines with situations that best represent them.

Youtube isn't something that a lot of students might initially think of as being an educational resource, but there are many videos that can be useful to them in learning concepts or when they need a refresher. Individual channels provide me with a place to post everything that we do in the classroom so they have access to it again if needed. It allows for my own instruction to talk things through to them even outside the classroom versus students having to read their textbook or their notes from class if they are struggling. It is also a tool students can use to create their own videos either of projects they are doing or actually create a video project that relates to the math content they are learning in the classroom. For example, in talking about slope there are many real-world applications with equations of lines and students could create their own videos displaying their understanding of this content.
